TNDG 2.0 RULES/MECHANICS
Apr. 15th, 2017 10:19 amPREMISE
This game is played in weekly cycles, with two IC days per week. Sat-Sun is one IC day, Mon-Fri is the other. Every week, the characters must vote on who they want to keep safe.
Over the weekends, characters engage in CR-building minigames. The round's votes will be distributed amongs the participants, with winners getting more votes than the other participants, and non-participants getting no votes at all.
ACTIVITY
I expect people to 1) vote and 2) be present in at least one of the public posts every week. If you need to skip a week or a vote, TELL ME and I will work with you! Otherwise, I might well have to MURDER you. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also! Because the weekend events are how votes are distributed, it's very much in your best interests to participate.
ARRIVAL
Whatever your characters were doing, they suddenly feel dizzy. If they're lucky, they'll be able to sit down before they lose consciousness. When they awaken, they are in their own personal dressing room (see Settings). Characters arrive with whatever was on their person at the time. A pet may also be present in the dressing room. If said character, items, or pet had powers, they have now been nerfed.
They are also given a small tablet that lets them look up character profiles and vote. It's got an intuitive interface and will not break easily, even for the kind of person who loves spilling things and dropping electronics on the floor. Should a character manage to break their tablet, however, a replacement will be provided in their dressing room. You can also borrow another character's tablet! It will automatically log into the account of whoever's holding it and not give away a vote to anyone else.
As they get their bearings, a voice recording will explain:
1. The basic premise of the game
2. What prizes they stand to win
3. The fact that they are not to speak of their prize to anyone, and in fact if they try to do it nothing will come out.
4. The following voting mechanics:
VOTING MECHANICS
❃ All active players must make a vote each week
❃ A valid vote must name an active player
❃ You may NOT vote for yourself
❃ You may NOT vote for the same character twice in a row
❃ You may change your vote as many times as you please up until the deadline (though it is advised you plan your strategies well before that)
VOTING RESULTS
❃ Whoever receives ZERO votes will be killed
❃ Whoever receives the MOST votes will receive their consolation prize and be sent to the hotel
❃ Voting results will be provided, but the voters will remain anonymous
❃ The final five will win their grand prizes, at which point all living contestants will be returned to their home
